Bliss Rag Quilt

I just love it when this

quickly turns into this

This little rag quilt was fast, very fast ~ I have never made one before and it is so cute! You can't go wrong with the fabric.
This is made from 2 Moda Bliss Charm Packs and
72 5 inch squares of Moda Natural (for the backing) that I already had
and 72 4 inch warm and natural batting squares (all cut from scraps)

I used this great tutorial found here at Creations By Kara.
So easy to put together!
And the raw edges are such a nice change.

Still lovin' my little labels from Sweetwater.
I originally had them printed with 2010 along the side,
so now that it is 2011, I just cut that part right off.

Back to reality tomorrow, kiddos back in school, husband back to work.
Lots of cleaning and organizing and laundry around here today.
Getting ready for the new week.

I am really glad to get back to a routine.

Kristin-loved your quilt. I am not a quilter nor a sewer, but know enough to be dangerous or adventerous...I think I am going to try to make one. How big was your finished product??

Love the quilt you did a awesome job. I have been wanting to learn to quilt so if you know any tips or easy patterns for learning I would greatly appreciate it

Amy, hopefully you check back here. I was not able to reply via email to your comment.

This was a great and quick quilt...however it is not very big. Just about 32 x 36 inches. I wish now that I got 2 packs of solid white charm packs (or just cut up some solid white fabric) to add to the size of the quilt.

But this would be a nice little size for a baby or small toddler.

Good luck if you decide to give it a try, I would love to see it! Kristin

It's beautiful! I started a quilt back in October, and haven't worked on it in a while. I really need to finish it! This makes me want to have it completed.

Love bliss!!! Love rag quilts!!! Did you use any type of batting in the middle of the fabric? Also, how big of a seam did you use?
