Apple Quilt Done - sort of

Finally I finished my Apple Quilt that I started in the fall.
But its not really a quilt (in the sense that you could take a nap under it)
But it has been quilted.

I started with this pattern

After I bought all of this pretty fabric from The Purl Soho during my NYC trip in October.

But I started putting the blocks together and I just did not like them.
So out came the seam ripper and the lonely little blocks just sat around through the holidays.

So I thought maybe a table runner and 4 placemats
would be a better option for these blocks.
Yes, much better and a little sashing in between the blocks and now
 much, much, much better!

So after a couple hours of quilting

And binding

I now have a cute table runner and 4 placemats for our dining room.

The placemats all have different binding fabrics and
2 are quilted with a stipple and 2 are quilted with loops.

So I have quite a bit of fabric left over
(which is never a bad thing).
What to make now???

So so so cute! I love it! I so wish I knew how to quilt so I could recreate something this adorable! You could make some mug rugs to go add to your table?

I love what you ended up making! It looks great. I started a quilt (well, a throw blanket rather) a few months ago and have yet to finish. I really need to.
