WIP Wednesday

WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced
Still chuggin' along on my 2 big quilts,
First my single girl.
I love it, I really do but it is going to take forever!

I went ahead and pieced a whole circle so I could see what it would look like.
The inner curved piece sews right along where it should.
The outer curve is a little off,
I must be doing something wrong so I need to figure out what is going on.
See how the seams at the edge are about 1/2 off,
I just want to make sure this is OK before going on.

Yes I am going to love it.

So in the meantime I will sew the inner curve pieces to my KJR curves.
2 down, 78 to go (oh and I still need to piece the 3rd & 4th quadrant curves)!
It's a bit overwhelming at times.
But one day I will have this as a king size quilt.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now over to my supernova.
I have 3 of the 9 blocks done for this weeks piecing.
This is block 1,
trying to be more conscious of the directional fabrics after this block.
Block 2, much better.
and block 3.
Only 6 more to go until the next step is posted tomorrow.
I'm just saying, if your Supernova quilt goes missing, I'm the most likely culprit. It's going to be incredible!
I'm living vicariously through you while you work on these quilts. I would love to start both of these projects but I have so much else on my back-log and deadlines coming up - sigh :) ... so thanks for sharing!!
These are coming along beautifully by the way, love your color choice especially on the Supernova quilt.
That is going to be one awesome Supernova! I love it! And I actually kind of like the directional print in the first block the way it is. When the directional prints are set up that way, they give the block a little bit of swirling movement.
Thanks for linking up to WIP Wednesday! : )
I just adore the fabrics for your Single Girl quilt! That is going to look fantastic when it's finished.
