Makin' Life Cozy - Bloggers Quilt Festival

The Bloggers Quilt Festival started today at Amy's Creative Side.
Click on the button above to see all of the quilts.
Here is mine, a lap quilt for Big J from Sweetwater's Make Life fabric for Moda.
Great fabric for a boy.

I think this is my 7th or 8th quilt - made from jelly roll strips.  Quick and easy but I like it, its different from the patchwork quilts that I have done previously.

It keep this little man cozy at night.

My quilts are slowly but surely getting bigger,
I keep them small so I can do the machine quilting myself.

Maybe one day I will send one off to a professional quilter,
but I kind of like that I make them from start to finish.

My two little models

This is the back -
very fun, bright and cheerful fabric from the Make Life collection.

Thanks for stopping by!

  28. I am a new quilter and I LOVE this Make Life quilt! So fun and colorful and you are right it IS different! Is there a pattern you used (I would be willing to buy it) did you just cut up lengths of the the jelly roll? I think that would be very intimidating for me. HELP!

Thanks so much for a newbie. Blessings - Molly J.
