Today Linds @ That's So Cuegly
is bringing us not one, but two ornaments to try out. You all lucked out today!
Hope you enjoy and Happy Friday to all!
Here's Linds.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
HEY EVERYONE! IT'S LINDS! FROM
{something JUST ugly enough to be CUTE!}
LETS TALK CHEAP, SHALL WE?
I had OLD silver balls, that were going to be thrown out!
Untill I saw the coolest ornaments online, but they were $65 for TWO!!!
So I made my own version (a little sloppier version, but HEY! Homemade!)
1: Plain Ball
2: Spray Painted Ivory-White
3n4: Electrical tape to shape designs to paint!(cuz it's HARDLY sticky and wont peel off your paint jobDoing ONE shape/stripe at a lonesome time, I used BLACK acrylic craft paint!
TADAH!!!
I'm pretty proud of these. By all means they're a disaster, but hanging on a tree from a distance, you cant tell that not ONE shape is symetrical! But these THREE were all I made because it was time consuming. Which is probably NOT what you want to hear. But I'm actually thinking of doing a BLACK/WHITE/RED tree next year because I LOVE these so much so I'm holding onto all my balls! (teehee...{Becca})
ROUND 2:
It was Black Friday Morning and I was at my last shopping store....
Porters Craft and Frame!
While I was waiting in line to check out (LONG LINE) I saw these wood Sleds. They weren't painted or touched, and they were big, and only $1...hmmm. SURE!!! I grabbed 7!
CHRISTMAS PAPER ON TOP
AND EMBELISHED OF COARSE!!!
AND HUNG THEM ON MY TREE. Now my DH who we'll just call Josh for now, didn't like the idea of having ornaments bigger than my hand on the tree(I have big hands)...but what do YOU think?
Edited to add: Linds sent me the picture of her whole tree. Look at how cute these sleds are! Thanks for sending this over, I know people have been wanting to see your tree.
Eventually, my Christmas decorations will be themed in that direction! I'm getting there!
TIS THE SEASON!!
SPREAD THE LOVE!!
Speaking of which THANKS AGAIN KRISTIN!
-Linds-
Those are STINKING cute!! I love them. They would be great for my ornament exchange this year......
ReplyDeleteThese are absolutely adorable. After visiting our festival of trees, I have decided that large ornaments are the thing.
ReplyDeleteLOVE it Linds! And it's FINE to A) Have ornaments bigger than your hand, and B) Have Man-Hands. (I do...yikes! ;))
ReplyDeleteThose sleighs are Frickin' adorable! If your dear husband doesn't like them hanging from the tree, you should kind of shove them INTO the tree instead of hanging them and see if he likes it better. Just a thought. :S PS I want to see a photo of your whole tree!!!!!
And those black and white and red ornaments? {HOLLA!}
Dani
I am wondering what the husband's REAL name is??? Haha. Yes, I want to see the whole tree too Linds!
ReplyDeleteKristin
I'll post the tree On my blog ASAP. AND yes...his name is Josh! I think I WILL shove them in a little and see if he likes them better. I did it to my first one and then just hurried and hung them so i could take pictures. Thanks everyone. :)
ReplyDeleteAdorable! Linds did a great job!
