Sherbet Pips Rag Quilt

I got a Moda Sherbet Pips jelly roll for my birthday
(thanks Mom!)
The precuts are out but seem to be hard to find. 

I found this jelly roll quilt at Sweetwater after a quick google search and LOVED it,
so here is my version in Sherbet Pips.

I used the same process but did not bind this quilt, I left the edges raw.


This is really cute fabric with girls on scooters, girls on tree swings, puppies and scarves.


I used a lot of white strips for the backing but added some matching solids and prints from the line to give it some interest.

(sorry for the icky pictures, it is very dreary outside for sunny Florida)

    So beautiful!
    Do you mind sharing the batting you used? (Is the fabric 100% cotton?)
    Did you use flannel or cotton batting?
    I love that the fabric bunches up a little around the threading!

    Love this and just bought a clearance jelly roll. I am curious, I have some ribbed chenille that I wanted to use for the back and forgo batting. Would this work, do you think? Also, I love the unbinded look, did you sew all the way around or just keep it as it after you sewed each strip down?
