It's done, not just the quilt top but the WHOLE thing.
Thank you to Rachel at P.S. I Quilt for the great quilt-a-long!
I finished up between last night and today.
The quilting was not too bad, but I only did parallel straight(ish) lines.
Once that was done the binding was easy.
I finished the hand stitching of the binding this afternoon.
The backing is FLANNEL!
I love the backing!
I tried to get a picture of the whole thing but only the short people were home
and I really wanted to post this today.
I will have to get the husband to help out with that picture.
That is amazing. I love the border. How does your border look so nice before you put it on. Is it biased or straight cut? When I do bias binding it looks all ragged and uneven before I put it on. What's your secret? Maybe you just know what you're doing. That could explain the difference since I don't always. I do like the backing. It's all just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteomg! i love this!! the colors are fantastic!

ReplyDeleteI ♥ this! I plan on putting flannel on mine, too. Just wish it were already done for this cold freeze that is hitting us :)
ReplyDeleteThis is so very beautiful! I have made a couple quilts but I find it near impossible to make the binding have a professional look. You're pictures are great, so I was wondering if you would do a tutorial on your binding technique?? Thanks!

ReplyDeleteThat is so beautiful I love that shade of blue with red! But wow those itty bitty postage stamps seem like a lot of work to quilt. Love the end result and so worth the effort!
ReplyDeleteWords cannot express how much I love this quilt. Seriously. The backing fabric was a perfect choice, and I LOVE the binding. Fantastic job, Kristin.
